Art Film Foundation
The Art Film Foundation (AFF) provides tax-deductible support for local, independent cinema in the Champaign-Urbana area. Incorporated in 2015, the AFF raised funds and distributed grants for local art film programming, such as a film series for women directors, quality children’s programming, and film series highlighting cultures around the globe.
In 2017, when the award-winning Art Theater Co-op decided it needed a more stable and enduring revenue stream, the AFF and the Art Theater merged into one organization, with the Art Theater becoming a program of the AFF. This provides patrons of the Art a tax-deductible vehicle to support its quality programming of independent, foreign, documentary, and special-interest film, and also simplifies how Art enthusiasts can contribute to the needs of a century-old building.
The AFF currently has a single program in the Art Theater, so all of your donations go toward the programming, operations, and growth of the Art Theater. The shared experience of meaningful films is an important cultural opportunity for all, and your contributions help to ensure that art films can continue to play an important role in the cultural life of our community.
